Buddhist and Hindu Temples

Find the best Buddhist and Hindu temple photos and facts listed below. I have visited the most extraordinary and venerable Buddhist and Hindu temples in the world over the last 7 years. As a result, I have been profoundly influenced by the virtues of these ancient religions.

Both Buddhism and Hinduism originate in ancient India and they have crossed paths many times throughout history. Therefore, many ancient temples that were originally Hindu have become Buddhist temples over time. This is especially visible in SE Asia in Laos and Cambodia. As a result, from a historical perspective they are both Hindu temples and also Buddhist temples.

Do try and appreciate the change in style as Buddhist temples were erected throughout China and east Asia. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian, China projects a very different architectural design than the ancient temples at Angkor, Cambodia or Wat Phu in Laos.

Additionally, find many photos and facts about Buddhist and Hindu statues erected at such locations as Batu Caves in Malaysia plus Xieng Khuan Buddha Park and the Pakse Golden Buddha in Laos.
