Zebra Photos and Information

Find all zebra photos and safari information here. The zebra is one of the most easily recognized of all African safari animals. It is characterized by it’s black stripes that help it to blend in with the herd. As a result, it is more difficult for lions and other predators to single them out when hunting.

There are predominantly 2 species of zebra in Africa. The burchell’s zebra is the most populous and therefore the most common zebra. It’s larger cousin is known as grevy’s zebra and it is also characterized by thinner and finer stripe patterns.

My encounters with the African zebra were primarily in Etosha National Park in Namibia and Samburu National park in Kenya. Find burchell’s zebra photos and information from my safari in Etosha National Park in Namibia. Additionally, you can compare and contrast the burchell’s zebra with the grevy’s zebra photos that I encountered in Samburu National Park in Kenya.
