Global Travel Press is a sustainable travel blog. By having the means to fund my own international travel it is 100% beneficial to the local communities and environments. Furthermore, responsible travelers are able to make direct contributions through community development projects. Unfortunately, sustainable travel has been misperceived by some as an excuse to travel the world with dubious funding sources such as student loans, mortgages and credit cards. The economies of undeveloped counties are under severe pressure because of the profligate fiscal policies of western democracies. In conclusion, willfully negligent consumers from the developed economies have a parasitic effect on these fragile communities. This is certainly not a form of sustainable travel. Indeed, they are the problem and not the solution. Please find facts and photos below from the community development projects in SE Asia that I sponsored.
