Sesriem Canyon

Sesriem Canyon Photos and Facts
Sesriem Canyon is a natural phenomenon that exists in Namibia. Heavy Rainfall in the Naukluft Mountains fills the rivers that flow through the escarpment and through the Namib desert to reach the coastline of Namibia. As a result, the Sesriem Canyon is carved out of the natural landscape.
The formation of the Sesriem Canyon allows visitors to observe the geological history of the Namib desert while hiking in the canyon. Please enjoy my Sesriem post and my collection of Sesriem Canyon Photos in the Namibia travel posts listed below.
Most profound is that my Sesriem Canyon Photos show the existence of geologic formations and weather patterns that have existed in Namibia for over 20 million years. The geological history of Namibia is one of the most unique in the world and the Namib desert environment creates the world’s best landscape photography opportunities. Please enjoy all of my travel photos taken throughout Namibia and southern Africa.
