Maasai Mara is a national wildlife reserve that is located in SW Kenya. The reserve is 1500 square kilometers in size and it is found on the border with Tanzania. Additionally, Maasai Mara is contiguous with Serengeti National Park which lies to the south in Tanzania.
Maasai Mara is home to Africa’s big 5 animals and it is a world renown wildlife reserve. Maasai Mara is named after the Maasai people. The Maasai are semi-nomadic people and lead a traditional lifestyle. Their geographic range is found in northern Tanzania and southern Kenya.
