Mauritius

The three Mascarene Islands are Mauritius, Reunion and Rodrigues Island. Mauritius is the largest and the most commonly visited of the three Mascarenes. Additionally, the island is surrounded by submerged atolls which are an ideal habitat for bait fish which attracts the bigger game fish. As a result, deep sea fishing is a top island attraction. The most common game fish species include wahoo, yellowfin tuna, sharks, sailfish and if you are lucky black marlin. Indeed, the tropical beaches there make it an excellent destination after traveling in Sub-Saharan Africa. Furthermore, Champ de Mars racecourse is a worthy afternoon visit.
