Sri Lanka

In the shape of a tear drop, the island of Sri Lanka sits off the coast of southern India and shares in the rich history of the neighboring sub-continent. Additionally, Sri Lanka has pristine wildlife reserves, beautiful beaches and hot sultry weather. There is exposure to waves from the Indian ocean. As a result, there are some good surfing opportunities on the southern end of the island. Additionally, Yala National Park and Sigiriya Rock Fortress make excellent Sri Lanka travel adventure. Unfortunately, the northern end of Sri Lanka was still war torn because of the recently ended civil war.___
